2023 10 in x 12 inCreating a space between the physical and the digital, I work in response to Hito Steyerl’s essay, “Too Much World: Is the Internet Dead?” investigating the blending of the Internet into everyday life and examining how it becomes an intrinsic part of the mundane aspects of our existence. Ordinary experience, human relationships are layered upon imprints of physical space that create a superimposed boundary where the real world fragments through the use of digital noise, or analog noise, and processes begin to blend. Space becomes a calculated experience—moments are breathing.
